The prison of the mind

Our minds create prisons which we then live in for long periods unaware that our freedom has been impinged on. I frequently do this to myself as I get stuck in loops. These are often negative. The autistic mind can gain strength from the fact it simply cannot let things go but mostly this is harmful to our well being.

The famous escapologist Harry Houdini once couldn’t get himself out of a cell because his mind wouldn’t let him solve the puzzle.

Our own minds quite frequently hamstring our efforts to learn things which initially seem quite obvious and simple but due to overanalyses they become labrtyhnine.

We are the product of our thoughts so we better make sure that they are good for if they are not they will poison our actions and relationships with others.
